I am thrilled that my journey has led me to the campaign trail. Born and raised in the heart of Winston-Salem for over four decades, my roots run deep in this community. The foundation of my education took root in WSFC public schools, culminating in graduation from East Forsyth High School in Kernersville. Building on this, I pursued my passion for Politics at Wake Forest University, ultimately earning my Bachelor's degree. Fueled by a relentless commitment to justice, I furthered my education at North Carolina Central University School of Law, earning a Juris Doctorate and passing the bar in 1999.
For more than 24 years, I've proudly held a North Carolina Bar license, and this upcoming August marks a quarter-century of unwavering dedication to legal practice. But my commitment extends beyond the courtroom. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Winston-Salem State University alongside my legal pursuits. Since becoming a licensed Registered Nurse in 2007, I've passionately served in healthcare, holding licenses to practice nursing in 43 states for the past 16 years.
Beyond my professional career, my husband and I are devoted parents to our eight-year-old daughter, who is currently enrolled in the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County School System.
As I invite you to join me in the next chapter of my life, I promise to champion what is just, what is right, and what is fair for the community I hold dearly.
With the hopes of your support,
Shonna Alexander
